Collaborated with educational institutions to develop knowledgeable conversations on the Syrian war and the unique journeys of refugees.

Drew together scholars from Human Rights Institutes, Women & Security Centers and Middle Eastern Studies, as well as Syrian organizations and community leaders across America.

Worked creatively to strengthen local understandings of the complex international conflict.

Researched Event Speakers

Produced live discussion programs on multiple FRONTLINE films that broke news on the early days of the pandemic.

 

Identified panel speakers to enrich the educational experience for viewers. 

 

Convened production teams to share about their reporting process and key experts to contextualize the significance of their coverage. 

Launched Audience Outreach

Launched targeted outreach to connect with audiences on pressing human rights issues, from attacks on journalists in the Philippines, to decreased protections for essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Strengthened long-term public engagement with FRONTLINE’s journalism through diversifying outreach strategies and including younger more diverse audiences.

Developed Public Partnerships

Cultivated 40+ public partnerships to launch a multimedia exhibit on Civil Rights Era cold cases. 

 

Acted as a liaison between external partners and FRONTLINE producers to ensure their journalism supported the needs of communities who have historically been impacted by racist killings.
